Paid at National Minimum Wage:

  • Ages 16–17: £4.55
  • Ages 18–20: £6.45
  • Ages 21–24: £8.20.

What is the Refill app?

The Refill app connects people to places to eat, drink and shop without plastic. Our vision is to create a world-class app with the game-changing potential to influence shopping habits for years to come.

The App Growth team is responsible for the strategy to deliver app growth over the next 5 years, this includes everything from app development, data management and marketing.

Role / tasks:

The Refill Stations Data Assistant is a vital role at City to Sea to help us meet our ambitious targets. You’ll be responsible for: 

  • Approving the Refill Stations that are added by our app users. This is managed through a bespoke platform built to manage the backend of our app data.
  • Approving Station edits – When app users suggest a change to a Refill Station listing, you’ll be the person responsible for checking and approving these. 
  • Bulk uploads of large sets of data that have been provided by chains or partners to be listed on the Refill app.
  • Supporting the Head of App Growth to ensure our Refill Stations data is accurate. 
  • Monthly Reporting on Refill Station growth – Full training will be provided. 
  • Engaging with online Social media (i.e community groups etc) to get new Refill Stations added to the app.
  • Supporting with app download advertising across social media (i.e Facebook).
  • Email & LinkedIn outreach to bring new Refill Stations onboard.
  • Bringing your own ideas to the table about how City to Sea could grow and develop its strategy to reach more app users and grow the number of Refill Stations listed on the app.
  • Joining a Working Group. List below.  Everyone at City to Sea belongs to a working group.  It gives you the opportunity to follow an interest and build knowledge in key work areas.  At the same this will help City to Sea develop best practise in these key areas.

Essential skills:

  • Able to read and write to a good standard in English
  • Able to research information on the internet and provide brief summaries
  • Communicate effectively and professionally in e-mails
  • Able to use a range of internet programmes including Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Collaborate and work well with others on the team
  • Able to professionally represent City to Sea in emails and other forms of communication.
